"The Power of Agreement"
In our last post, we touched on what can be achieved when two come together in unity. The true strength in this oneness is in the power of agreement.
"Can two come together, unless they are agree?" That scripture, from the Book of Amos, highlights the pointlessness of coming together if not for a common goal. There are forces working against you that have come to "steal, kill and destroy” (John 10:10) but you must not let them overcome you. One way to protect yourself against such forces is through prayer. Prayer is very important in a marriage. The last thing you want to do is leave those blind spots open for attack. Make sure she covers you and you the same for her. Let's not forget other tangible benefits, such as, saving for a house deposit quicker, clearing old debts faster and pursuing your passions together. This ‘ togetherness' is powerful and allows you to make greater strides in life. As important as it is to be in sync with your spouse, it is even better to be in sync with our with our Father in heaven. I'll leave you with this, "Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how can one be warm alone? Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken." (Ecclesiastes 4:11-12). Selah.
