The amount of times I've heard people say, "Marriage is hard work!" made me think, "Geez....why on earth would anybody want to get married in the first place after hearing that??” Now of course, in the grand scheme of things, marriage is work, without question..... but goodness gracious me people! If you're not having fun along the way, why are we here!? My wife and I are oh so familiar with the hardships that life can throw at you but if we don't laugh together at several points during the day, something is  off. C'mon now! This is meant to be your best buddy that you have chosen to spend to rest of your life with here! If you haven’t cracked a smile or laughed in a while, you need to get out and have some fun!

Yes, we are grateful for these kids but remember, without the two of you, they may not have even be here. I know you sacrificed a lot to get that house but without the two of you, that deposit may have taken a few more years to get together right? The monotony of everyday life can definitely sap away the spontaneity and impromptu joys you used to experience back in the day but I implore you to make a conscious effort and do something that will make you both smile. Let's go for dinner, catch a film at the cinema, play a few rounds of crazy golf, jump on a Segway tour, attend a comedy show, go for a walk through the forest, go for a cycle somewhere, visit the fun fair, go for a swim together, whatever it is you decide to do, make sure it's fun and puts a smile on your face. Now stop reading this and start planning. Go on! Get!!
